Finding out what matters to local people to help develop a new healthcare service will be NHS Shropshire CCG when it goes and meets local shoppers in Shrewsbury.

CCG staff will be in the Darwin Shopping Centre on Monday 25 February 2019, from 1pm to 4pm, talking to people and asking for their feedback to help shape and develop the new Shropshire Care Closer to Home Service.

This new service, which is currently being developed, aims to help local people over 65 who have a number of health conditions and receive regular care and support from the NHS and Shropshire Council. It aims to help them get their care in the community, and even in the comfort of their own homes, which could also mean they may avoid a stay in hospital.

The Shropshire Care Closer to Home Team is developing the new service to join up health and social care. They will be on hand to talk about how the new service could possibly look and hear feedback and ideas to help develop it. They especially want to know what matters to local people over 65 who have day-to-day experience of care and support from the local NHS and Shropshire Council and if there is anything that could be changed or done differently.
