News from our partners Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH)

Pharmacy staff have raised funds to pay for two new CD players which will be used for patients receiving end of life care at SaTH.

The pharmacy team, based at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, raised more than £40 by holding a Christmas Jumper Day over the festive period. They donated the proceeds to the Trust’s Swan Fund – a fund set up to benefit patients at the end of their life, and their families.

Jules Lewis, End of Life Care Facilitator at SaTH, said:

“We are so grateful to our pharmacy team for their very generous donation. We have been able to buy two new CD players which will enable our patients who are receiving end of life care to listen to their music.

“At SaTH, we are committed to ensuring that our patients and their families receive the very best care at the hardest of times; and often we are asked if they can listen to their favourite music – and these CD players mean that we are now able to do that.”
