Some Shrewsbury roads to close this Sunday for town’s 10K race

The Hatfields Shrewsbury 10K race is this Sunday (13 March 2022) in the town. .

The race – which will have approximately 1,500 participants – starts at 9am, with a number of roads closed from 8.45am. The event is due to be completed at about 11.30am, and roads will be reopened at this time, or earlier where possible.

Vehicle access to properties will be maintained where possible, but some long delays may be experienced whilst there are runners on the route.

The route is:-

High Street, Shoplatch, Bellstone, Barker Street Welsh Bridge, Frankwell, The Mount, Richmond Drive, Copthorne Road, New Street, Porthill Road, Roman Road, Kennedy Road, Kingsland Road, Longden Coleham, Coleham Head, English Bridge, St Julian’s Crescent, The Quarry, Victoria Avenue, St Austin’s Friars, St Austin’s Street, Barker Street, Bellstone, St John’s Hill, Cross Hill, Swan Hill, College Hill, Princess Street, Milk Street, and High Street.
