Also, remember Shropshire Council’s Community Play Store is a great resource to utilise this Easter, or for whenever you may need it. The Play Store provides the opportunity to hire resources for you to use at home, in an organised setting, inside a venue or get outside to play. The Play Store is equipped with a wide variety of equipment, from giant games to sports equipment to musical instruments.
Anyone is eligible to access the equipment; all you have to do is become a member of the Store. Membership is free, and hiring costs vary but are minimal.
Deana Pennington, Shropshire Council’s play development officer, encourages local children to join in the fun:
“Shropshire Council’s holiday activity schemes offer a variety of activities to keep children and young people entertained this Easter. I am sure many of our younger residents will be pleased to take part in the activities on offer. Play is an essential part of childhood, as well as being enjoyable for parents and carers, there is plenty of opportunity for the children and young people of Shropshire to keep fit, healthy and active over the half term break and have some good old fashioned fun in the process. Through play they learn, take risks, get creative, and most importantly of all have fun. The Play Store and play activities are an ideal opportunity to get out this half term.”
