‘Pay as you go’ fitness classes

Shropshire Council has extended the range of ‘pay as you go’ fitness classes on offer at  council-run leisure centres throughout the county.

The new classes added to the existing range provide Shropshire residents with a more varied and flexible approach to the council’s leisure services.

The new classes at Much Wenlock Leisure Centre will include Bodypump from 7pm to 8pm on Mondays and body conditioning, followed by Fitball, between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesdays.  All three of these classes are suitable for beginners.

At Shrewsbury Golf Driving Range Ltd on Telford Way, Shrewsbury, a new Pilates Stage 2 class joins the Wednesday evenings schedule between 7pm and 8pm.

The ‘pay as you go’ system is designed to allow users the chance to try out a range of classes without a continued commitment, and for infrequent users who wish to drop in from time-to-time.  All ‘pay as you go’ sessions cost £4 a time, although discount cards can be obtained.  Users interested in these are advised to speak to their class instructor.

Anyone who is interested in attending the classes should contact Ceri Eades (via phone on 01743 255071 or email leisure@shropshire.gov.uk) for information.  Full details of the new classes, as well as the other existing classes and full timetables for all centres, can be found at shropshire.gov.uk/leisure.
