Local planning and policing on agenda in Bridgnorth
The next Bridgnorth, Worfield, Claverley and Alveley Local Joint Committee (LJC) meeting is to discuss key changes that affect local communities, and local residents are encouraged to come and find out more. The meeting is on Wednesday 17 October 2012 at Beckbury Village Hall at 7pm.
Councillor Christian Lea, Chairman of the LJC, explained:
“It’s an exciting time for communities, with Shropshire Council’s new approach to planning giving a much greater emphasis on community-based plans, local needs and aspirations. We will learn more about how this process works, and will hear first hand how this is helping a local community who have just started work on their Parish Plan.
“Changes to local policing and the election of the new Police and Crime Commissioners in November make this a very significant time for communities and local policing, and residents with any questions or who want to find out more are urged to come along.”
