Get involved with Cleobury Rural LJC

Shropshire Council is encouraging local people to come along to their next Cleobury Rural Local Joint Committee (LJC) to talk about the issues that matter to them.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 23 October  2012 at 7pm at Victory Hall, Milson and Neen Sollars, Worcester, DY14 0AL. 

Councillor Madge Shineton, Chair of Cleobury Rural LJC, said:

“At the meeting we will be considering applications for funding.  Other items on the agenda are Shropshire Fire and Rescue, who will give a short presentation on recruitment, and local issues.  Inspector Robert Thomas will be present to provide an update on the future provision of police within the area of this LJC. 

There will also be an update on the Cleobury Mortimer Medical Centre.  Emma Buckingham, Severn Rivers Trust, will be in attendance to provide an update on the River Rea Project.  David Edwards, flood and water manager at Shropshire Council, will also be available to answer any questions on flooding/drainage and water management in the area.” 

As usual the local police will be on hand for the public to drop in between 6.30pm and 7pm, and will later give an update on the whole area.

The Cleobury Rural Joint Committee covers the following areas: Burford, Boraston, Coreley, Cleobury Mortimer, Farlow and Oreton, Hopton Wafers, Neen Savage, Kinlet, Milson and Neen Sollars, Wheathill, Stottesdon and Sidbury.
