Free live magic show for families at The Darwin shopping centre

A free live magic show for families is to be held at The Darwin shopping centre in Shrewsbury this half term.
Taking place on Friday 30 October [2026] the event will see the Lower Level of the Centre transformed into a stage for spectacular tricks, close-up illusions and mind-boggling surprises, offering an entertaining experience for children and adults alike.
Running from 11am to 3pm, the event will feature four live sessions at 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm, giving families plenty of opportunities to enjoy the show around their other half-term plans. Audiences can expect an exciting mix of sleight-of-hand, mind-reading-style tricks and audience participation, with young visitors invited to get involved and become part of the magic.
Designed with families in mind, the show promises to captivate younger children while keeping parents guessing with clever illusions and unexpected reveals. Whether it is a trick performed right before their eyes or a surprise that leaves the whole family wondering how it was done, the event offers a fun and memorable way to celebrate the Halloween half term.
Best of all, the event is completely free, with no booking required. Visitors are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before their chosen session, as space on the Lower Level is limited and sessions are expected to attract a crowd.
Kevin Lockwood, centre manager of The Darwin, said:
