A488 to close for repairs ahead of surface dressing work
Work to repair the A488 from the Nag’s Head to Hanwood – ahead of it being surfaced dressed later this year – will be carried out from Tuesday 20 February to Friday 1 March .
Work will take place from 9.30am to 4pm each day – though there’ll be no weekend working – and will take place in phases.
During these times the road will be closed and a [A road status] signed diversion in place. Access will be provided for properties and business within the closure.
Depending on people’s vehicle type they may be able to choose their own shorter diversion route.
Signs will be erected in the road before starting the work and the work will be completed as quickly as possible.
