We have a highly skilled and passionate workforce who make a real difference to the lives of children and families in Shropshire and we are now looking for likeminded individuals to join us.

We are recruiting to a wide range of roles across our children’s services and recruiting officers are keen to meet with social workers and managers who are already within the sector and want to develop their skills and progress their careers.

We are also keen to hear from people who may have considered working in social care but who have felt discouraged because they’ve not yet secured relevant qualifications.

Kirstie Hurst-Knight, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for children’s services, said:

“These roles offer you an opportunity to make a huge difference to the lives of children. But, that’s not all. We care about our staff too.

“If you choose to work with us, we promise that you will be given the best training available. Through our Personal Development Programme, we encourage career progression using a variety of initiatives such as apprenticeship courses and accreditations so that you can build your future.

“Sounds exciting doesn’t it? Please have a look at the roles we have available. We can’t wait to receive your CVs.”
