Make way for a monster performance at Severn Valley Country Park

Audiences are being urged to book for a monster performance of Frankenstein at Severn Valley Country Park this weekend.

Gloucester-based Rain or Shine Theatre Company, known for their summer season outdoor performances at the Shropshire Council-run venue, are presenting their own fast-paced comic stage version of Frankenstein at the visitor centre on Sunday 26 November 2023.

The company promises “gags, fast-paced chaos, well-timed comic set pieces” when Dr Frankenstein and his faithful assistant, Igor, who believe they are destined to break through the greatest boundary of the medical world and harness the power to control life and death, take to the stage.

Robert Macey, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for culture and digital, said:-

“Rain or Shine Theatre Company are known for their summer seasons at Severn Valley Country Park so it is wonderful to be able to welcome them to the warmth and comfort of our visitor centre for this one night only performance.

“They are promising a fun evening’s entertainment for all the family and I can’t wait for curtain up!”
