Closure of Claremont Bank in Shrewsbury for road repairs

Claremont Bank in Shrewsbury will be closed to traffic from 5pm to midnight on Sunday 7 January [2024] while Cadent Gas carry out work to repair a a defective reinstatement of the road.

The reinstatement of the road was carried out following Cadent work to repair to a gas leak, but has subsequently sunk.

Whilst the road closure is in force a signed diversion route will be in place and access to properties on Town Walls will be maintained to the point of the closure and via the diversion route.

Residents will be notified of these works via a letter drop, and advanced warning signs will be placed on site two weeks prior to work starting.
