Kirstie Hurst-Knight, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for children and education, said:-

“Our youth support team will be out in communities over the summer holidays creating their Pop-Up Youth Spaces.

“These spaces are a fantastic opportunity for young people to join in a host of activities and an opportunity to socialise and relax with friends.

“Pop-Up Youth Spaces create safe places for young people ages 11 plus. Activities will include team games, sports, and arts and crafts activities. There will also be opportunities for informal learning.

“If you or someone you know will benefit from these sessions, please do come along.”

Helena Williams, Shropshire Council’s youth support team manager, said:-

“Pop-Up Youth Spaces are a good way to keep young people safe over the summer by filling up green spaces with activity and fun. Youth workers will be on hand to offer support and guidance as well as stay safe messages.  We look forward to seeing lots of young people all over Shropshire this summer.”
