Further work on Hereford Road, Shrewsbury for Bellway Homes development

Further work for the Bellway Homes development is to be carried out on Hereford Road, Shrewsbury from 14 August [2023].

The work is to to be undertaken over three phases with the first phase due to take place from 14 August to 10 November. This will allow Bellway Homes’ contractors to complete the first phase prior to the Christmas work restriction period.

The remaining phases of work will begin in the new year.

Work during the first phase will consist of road widening on the south-bound carriageway, with a new footpath constructed along with further work to the site entrance.

For safety purposes a lane closure will be in place. As the scheme progresses the traffic management measures will be scaled down where possible and when safe to so, with the aim of reducing the impact within the road to help minimise the disruption to the area.

Residents and businesses will be notified via a letter drop, and advanced warning signs will be placed on site two weeks prior to the works starting.
