Temporary closure of Borlemill Bridge on 9 January

Related topics: Highways, transport and environmental maintenance / Partner organisations

Borlemill Bridge, which carries a unclassified road over Borle Brook, will be closed to traffic on 9 January 2023, from 9.30am to 4pm, for maintenance work.

The work will involve tree works and vegetation clearance of the structure.

To carry out the proposed work safely it will be necessary to close the bridge to vehicular traffic at the times stated above.

When the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted via the B4555 and local roads by a signed diversion route. For details see https://one.network/?tmi=GB24604402

Access over the bridge for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available throughout the work.

Inevitably there will be some disruption during these works, though we will always endeavour to minimise any inconvenience and people are thanked for their understanding.

The work will be carried out by Shropshire Council’s term maintenance contractor Kier, with supervision being provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
