Thousands of pounds of funding has been made available for community groups in Whitchurch through the Freedom Fund, a new community fund which has been opened this week by Freedom Fibre.

Non-profit groups delivering environmental projects in Whitchurch will each be able to apply for up to £250 worth of funding. The Fund opened on 31 October 2022 and will close on Friday 16 December 2022 at 5pm, with a second round of funding scheduled for 2023.

Freedom Fibre is currently rolling out its lightning-fast, full-fibre network to homes in and around Whitchurch. It is envisaged that the Freedom Fund will be available across the rest of Freedom Fibre’s build footprint in 2023.
