Over 100 delegates representing public and private sectors, local small and medium enterprises and international businesses, have already signed up for a day of inspirational keynote speakers and thought-provoking workshops.

The conference will also offer those attending the opportunity to rub shoulders with Shropshire’s business elite and feature trade stands, hand-on workshops, and a Wellbeing Zone sponsored by Paycare, as a reminder to prioritise mental health in the workplace.

Tickets are priced at £150 and this includes drinks and lunch. Those wanting to come along to the event are encouraged to book their tickets by visiting the Leadership Conference website (https://www.shropshireleadership.co.uk/).

Delegates will be able to arrive from 8.30am, for an official start at 9.15am. The day will draw to a close at 4.10pm, with an opportunity to network afterwards.

Sam Williams, Shropshire Council’s assistant director for workforce and improvement, said:-

“We’re really excited to be hosting Shropshire Leadership Conference 2022. This will be the third time that leaders from businesses and organisations from far and wide will come together for an event of this type. It is thanks to our incredible line-up of speakers, some of whom have spoken internationally, that we have every confidence that this conference will once again be a huge hit with our many delegates.”

Gwilym Butler, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for finance and corporate resources, said:-

“We are extremely fortunate to have an incredible line-up of speakers coming to Shrewsbury, each of whom will bring something unique to this exciting event.

“It will offer those attending the perfect opportunity to hone their leadership skills, network with an audience of leaders and represent their company. Whether you’re a senior manager or on the cusp of moving up the ladder to a management role, you’ll take home ideas and inspiration that you will carry with you throughout your career.

“This conference and the wider work of Shropshire HR is an example of how Shropshire Council is innovating and transforming the way we do business. A key priority identified within our Shropshire Plan is to ensure Shropshire has a healthy economy, and having an event of this calibre in the county supports that aim.”

The approach brings a new perspective to leadership by smashing two lingering business myths that get in the way of organisations reaching their real potential.

  • The first myth is that strategy eats culture for breakfast.
  • The second myth is that great organisations start with ‘why?’

By challenging these popular myths, ALIGNED® reveals how you can grab a competitive advantage by aligning strategy, culture and customer experience.
