Last year Severn Trent Water carried out water main replacement work on Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury.

It has been brought to Shropshire Council’s attention that the reinstatements within the road have become defective, and Severn Trent need to carry out remedial works to the trench reinstatements.

This work will be carried out from Thursday 21 July to Monday 8 August 2022.

Initially there will be multiway signals in place on the Roman Road roundabout adjacent to Copthorne Road, whilst operatives undertake the remedial works required near to the roundabout.

During this period a traffic management operative will be on site from 7am to 7pm to monitor and react to any traffic build ups in the area.

A further set of remedial works will then be undertaken from between the Greenacre Road junction and Porthill Drive junction on Copthorne Road, where traffic will be managed via the use of Stop and Go boards.

Shropshire Council’s inspection team will monitor works as they progress to ensure the contractors are working efficiently and to the agreed timescales.

Residents and affected businesses will be notified in advance of the works starting.
