News from our partners NHS Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs)

NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) want to improve blood-taking (phlebotomy) services for all patients and would like to gather the views of local people in the area.

A new patient experience survey has been launched to gather patients’ views on the current blood-taking service in Shropshire, and Telford and Wrekin, to find out what is working well and how the service may be improved.

If you have either used the service during the coronavirus pandemic or before, then please take the time to fill in the survey. By taking part, you will be contributing towards making the service work the way it should for people that are using it. All information shared will be confidential.

Feedback will be welcome from adults, carers and the parents of children that have accessed any blood-taking services or would simply like to express their views.

Dr Julian Povey, Joint Chair of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin CCGs, said:

“We want to hear from anyone who has experience of using our blood taking services as a patient, family member or carer. The launch of the survey will let patients share their experiences, giving us a valuable insight into local peoples’ experiences and will ultimately aid service improvement.”

Please click on the following link to access the blood patient survey: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8JPTBNQ. You can also call 07870 973241 for assistance in completing the survey, or request a paper copy and freepost return envelope from the CCGs.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Please note the survey will close on Thursday 4 February 2021 at 5pm.
