Coronavirus: Shrewsbury’s Darwin, Pride Hill and Riverside Shopping Centres – lockdown opening information

During the lockdown that starts on Thursday 5 November [2020] the Darwin Centre and Pride Hill Centre opening hours will be as normal – though some of the essential stores that remain open (see list below) may choose to alter their opening hours, and people are advised to check with the individual stores for details.

The Pride Hill Centre will only be open on the top level to enable people to attend appointments at Vision Express and collect items from the Entertainer (see below).

Stores in the Darwin, Pride Hill and Riverside Centres that are planning to stay open as essential retailers are:

  • Wilko
  • Vision Express
  • Rob Buckley – appointment only
  • Dada Oriental
  • Cool Trader/ Heron Foods
  • Green Options
  • Poundland
  • Home Bargains
  • M&S
  • WH Smith

Cafes offering a takeaway service:

  • Costa
  • Frankie’s

Stores planning to offer Click & Collect:

  • The Entertainer
  • Tubeway Records – one day a week (to be confirmed)
  • JD Sports

Vision Express will be open for appointments only.

Toilets: The Darwin Centre toilets will be kept open and will be staffed. The Pride Hill Centre toilets will be closed.

A guard will be located at the front entrance of both the Darwin and Pride Hill Centres.
