A severe flood warning is currently in place for Shrewsbury (Wednesday 26 February 2020 afternoon) but river levels are now receding and parts of the town centre are beginning to reopen. All forthcoming performances at Theatre Severn are currently expected to go ahead as scheduled.

Parking is available within the town centre at Bridge Street (SY1 1QU), St Austin’s (SY1 1SA), accessed via Kingsland (toll) Bridge only.

Park & Ride from Oxon (SY3 5AD) has also been specially extended for Theatre Severn and Old Market Hall ticketholders until further notice. This free service will run from 6pm to and from Theatre Severn. Please arrive as early as possible. Where necessary, performance start times may be delayed for latecomers.

Please be advised that some roads into Shrewsbury town centre and the following car parks are currently closed:

  • Frankwell – main and riverside
  • St Julian’s Friars
  • Raven Meadows multi-storey
  • Abbey Foregate
  • NCP (Wyle Cop)

Further information on flooding and road closures is available via Shropshire Council Newsroom.

Ticketholders attending shows at Theatre Severn are advised to check updates regularly, to allow extra journey time, and to avoid driving through flood water. Further updates will be posted here when available, and all ticketholders will be contacted directly if there are any major developments on the above advice.

We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you to Theatre Severn.
