School of Music – a musical extravaganza

Shropshire Council’s Shropshire Music Service is inviting people to come and hear a variety of music being performed by some of the county’s exceptionally talented children and young people at its School of Music concerts.

The concerts, which will take place on Saturday 14 December 2019 from 11am until 8pm at Shrewsbury Baptist Church on Crowmere Road in Shrewsbury, have been spilt up into different sections, allowing people to go to all of them or just one.

  • 11am – Shropshire Training Woodwind Ensemble, Meole Voices and Shropshire Training Strings Ensemble.
  • 1pm – Shropshire Youth Guitar Ensemble, Stretton Stompers and Shropshire Training Youth Orchestra.
  • 3pm – Bridgnorth Stompers and Ludlow Stompers, Brown Clee Choir and Shropshire Training Wind Orchestra.
  • 5pm – Shropshire Training Brass Ensemble, Fiddlesticks and Shropshire Youth Brass Band.
  • 7pm – Shropshire Youth Orchestra and Big Band.

There is no need for people to pre book, as tickets will be available on the door. An adult ticket is £6, child £3 and £12 for a family ticket of four.
