Shrewsbury’s shopping centres have joined up with Shropshire Wildlife Trust to offer free nest box and bird cake workshops on  Saturday 26 January and Monday 28 January 2019

The workshops will be held in the Darwin Centre, owned by Shropshire Council, from 10am to 12midday on each day.

They’ve been arranged to help celebrate the launch of the RSPB’s annual Big Garden Birdwatch and will give people the opportunity to create their own bird nest boxes and bird treats, completely free.

The workshop will run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kevin Lockwood, Shrewsbury shopping centres manager, said:

“It’s important that we look after our wildlife, particularly at this time of year. This is a great opportunity for families to come together and learn about our feathered friends, and how they can help them during this cold season.”
