The next meeting of the South West Shropshire Local Joint Committee (LJC) is on Wednesday 7 November 2018 at 7pm, at the Everest Hall in Llanfair Waterdine.

The main focus of the meeting will be a presentation and discussion on highways maintenance in south west Shropshire, with Steve Davenport, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for highways and transport, and Steve Brown, senior manager of highways and environmental maintenance, in attendance. The public are invited to attend the meeting and to join in with the discussions.

Councillor Jonny Keeley, the chair of South West Shropshire LJC, said:-

“The topic of road maintenance has been raised at a number of our meetings over the last year. We are really pleased Steve and Steve are able to attend the meeting to explain more about how Shropshire Council manages the roads in our area. I’m sure the committee members will have lots of questions for them, but we are also really keen for the public to attend and take part in the discussions too.”

The LJC will also be reviewing applications received for youth projects in the area, including applications from South Shropshire Engineering Ambassadors, SpArC theatre and Bucknell Youth Club. The public can also raise any issues with the committee about the local area.
