Closure of Listley Street in Bridgnorth – Friday 2 November 2018

Listley Street in Bridgnorth has been closed today (Friday 2 November 2018) as well as the shop Wild Heart, following concerns about the structural stability of New Market Buildings.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service are on site and are advising if any further action needs to be taken to ensure safety of neighbouring buildings.

The danger was identified by the building owner’s contracted engineer.

The council’s building control team has spoken with all neighbouring premises and residents this afternoon to make them aware of the reasons for the closure, which is expected to be in place for the next few days.
