Related topics: Partner organisations

Shrewsbury’s Darwin Centre is staging two free Halloween events for children of all ages later this month.

Pumpkin carving workshops are being run on Tuesday 30 October 2018 from 11am to 2pm, with a ‘Trek n Treat’ Halloween parade on Wednesday 31 October 2018 from 3pm.

Join Maggie Love and her team between 11am and 2pm to learn how to turn your pumpkin into a monster masterpiece in these free pumpkin carving workshops.

The workshops will take place on the middle level between Poundland and Masserella and children of all ages are welcome.

There will be 100 free pumpkins for children to perfect their skills on, though those planning on arriving later in the day are advised to bring their own pumpkin to ensure they can join in.

Children can also enjoy free spooky chocolate lollipops from Toot Sweets throughout the event.

Children can get dressed in their best Halloween fancy dress and join the Trek ‘n’ Treat Parade, collecting sweet treats from stores at the Darwin and Pride Hill shopping centres along the way!

Meet in the store next to Poundland at 3pm to begin the trek around the centres. There will be prizes for the best fancy dress.
