Future Fit Consultation

The NHS Future Fit public consultation has now closed.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to respond to the consultation. Please be assured that any freepost surveys that are postmarked up to and including 11 September 2018 will be considered as part of the consultation.

Now that the consultation has closed, all feedback from the consultation will be collated and analysed by an independent company. They will then produce a report, which will be considered by NHS Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) as part of the decision-making process.

The views and suggestions of everyone that has responded to this consultation are an important part of the decision-making process. However, the Future Fit programme also has to complete a number of pieces of work before any final decisions are made. These have been requested by the West Midlands Clinical Senate, NHS England and members of the CCG Governing Bodies. You can read about this work on page 9 of the public consultation document.

Once this work has been completed and the boards of the two CCGs have considered all of the evidence, a Joint Committee of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin CCGs will be convened to make the final decision. This will take place in early 2019.

After a decision has been made, it will take about five years before all changes are fully implemented.

There will be lots of opportunities for patients, families and the public to get involved over the coming years in the implementation of any changes. Please visit www.nhsfuturefit.org for the latest developments and to find out how you can continue to be involved.
