Exporting is key to rural growth: export hub to visit Ludlow
Shropshire businesses interested in trading overseas are invited to learn, network and share ideas on board the Export Hub which will visit Ludlow this week (Friday 27 April 2018).
The Department of International Trade’s 40ft truck will be parked at The Ludlow Nut Company’s brand-new faciality on Foldgate Lane on Friday.
Here it will host presentations from guest speakers, including Philip Dunne MP (the MP for Ludlow), and a diverse range of local businesses, from 10am to 1.30pm, as well as an exclusive tour of The Ludlow Nut Company.

Nic Laurens, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for economic growth, said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses who want to learn more about the opportunities offered by exporting and how this can help growth.
“We have some extremely successful companies right here in Shropshire, which are world-renowned brands. By visiting the hub you can learn from them, and network too.”
Businesses presenting at the event include Granger & Worrall, Igloo Vision, FL Hitchman and The Ludlow Nut Factory.
Experts from the Shropshire International Trade team will be on hand during the event to talk to businesses interested in the support available for companies of all sizes looking to sell goods and servicesoverseas.
The Export Hub’s visit to Ludlow is just one of a series of events taking place across the nation to help businesses trade overseas, and is part of the Department of International Trade’s Exporting is GREAT campaign.
