Shropshire Council has produced a video to help attract the country’s best children’s social workers to Shropshire.

Shropshire Council is currently recruiting children’s social workers, and it is hoped that the video will encourage potential applicants to apply, by giving them an insight into why Shropshire is a great place to live and work and develop their careers.

The video features some of the council’s social workers explaining why they like their jobs, why they enjoy working for Shropshire Council, and why they think Shropshire is a great place to live and work.

Karen Bradshaw, director of children’s services, and Francean Doyle, head of early help also feature – outlining why Shropshire is a great place to be a children’s social worker, and why Shropshire is a fantastic council to work for.

“Shropshire is a beautiful county and a great place to work and live, and this is an exciting time to join Shropshire Council. Our children’s services were rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted in November 2017 and we are keen to attract the best social workers to help us maintain our effective services to families.”
