Free parking on offer in Shropshire towns this Christmas

As in previous years, Shropshire Council has again agreed to offer free parking in a number of Shropshire towns in the run-up to Christmas.

The free parking on offer is as follows:

Shrewsbury
When? From 4pm every Wednesday night from 15 November to 20 December, for the Christmas lights switch-on and late-night shopping.
Which car parks? Frankwell Main; St. Julian’s Friars; Abbey Foregate long-stay car parks

Ludlow
When? From 12noon on Tinsel Tuesdays (5, 12, and 19 December).
Which car parks? Castle Street, Smithfield, and Galdeford A and B.

Wem
When? From 2pm on Friday 1 December – the day of the Christmas lights switch-on.
Which car parks? High Street, Mill Street and Leek Street.

Church Stretton
When? Saturday 25 November from 2pm, the day of the Christmas lights switch-on
Which car parks? Easthope 1 to 4

Whitchurch
When? From 2pm on Saturday 25 November – the day of the Christmas lights switch-on.
Which car parks? Newtown; Castle Hill; St John’s Street; Pepper Street; Brownlow Street.

Ellesmere
When? Friday 24 November from 2pm, the day of the town’s Winter Festival.
Which car parks? Cross Street, Talbot Street and Spar Bridge car parks.

Market Drayton
When?Saturday 18 November, from 2pm – for the Christmas Festival and lights switch-on
Which car parks?Queen Street; Towers Lawn 1; Towers Lawn 2

Bridgnorth
When? After 2pm on Friday 17 November – the day of the Christmas lights switch-on.
Which car parks? Innage Lane, Smithfield and Severn Street car parks.
