Work to replace Inwood Cattle Grid will start on Monday 4 September 2017 and the unclassified road of the B5477 will be closed to traffic.

The work is due to last up to three weeks and will involve replacing the cattle grid in its entirety.

The road must be closed to traffic while this work is undertaken to ensure the safety of the people working.

When the road is closed traffic will be diverted locally via the B5477, Lower Wood and Womerton.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available throughout the proposed work.

Steve Davenport, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for highways and transport, said:

“It is appreciated that the road closure will cause some inconvenience, and everyone involved will do all that they reasonably can to reopen it as soon as possible.”
