Team Wem seeking volunteers for Wem Community Clean-Up Day this Saturday

Team Wem is seeking volunteers and well-wishers to come and join them this Saturday 8 July 2017 for the Wem Community Clean-Up Day.  The tidy up is in preparation for this year’s annual Wem Sweet Pea Show the following weekend, 15-16 July.

Some of the areas identified that will benefit from the Community Clean-Up include Drawwell Walk, the footpath from the Co-Op to the footbridge, Aston Street, and the library.

The litter pick has approval from Wem Town Council, and is supported by Shropshire Council, Shropshire Housing Group, Bromford Housing and West Mercia Police.

A member of Team Wem will meet volunteers at Edinburgh House offices on Saturday 8 July at 9am. Litter-picking equipment will be provided. All you need is a pair of gloves.
