Following the recent tendering of the Bridgnorth Town service (101) and the Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth service (436), both of these contracts will be operated by The Skiers Lodge, trading as ‘Easy Coach’.

The 436 Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury service will operate as per its current timetable; with the 101 Bridgnorth Town service operating to is existing hourly timetable, whilst the bus operator reviews the operation of the service during the first few weeks, with a view to a revised timetable being implemented shortly afterwards.

The new operator will commence operation of the 101 Bridgnorth Town service on Tuesday 1 August 2017, and the 436 Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury service on Saturday 2 September 2017.

Steve Davenport, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for highways and transport, said:

“The 101 and 436 are important and popular bus services. We are pleased to introduce a new transport operator into the Shropshire bus market, and we’re working hard to move our bus services to a more commercial footing and to reduce the cost to Shropshire Council of providing these bus services.”
