Shropshire Council is hosting an award-winning folk music and poetry night at Severn Valley Country Park in Alveley near Bridgnorth on Saturday 17 June 2017 at 7.30pm. Flocks of Words is a collaboration between acoustic trio Whalebone and poet and author Kate Innes (author of The Errant Hours).

According to Steve Downs of Whalebone:-

Flocks of Words is an immersive, hypnotic blend of music and poetry exploring landscape and the human soul. Grounded in the Shropshire Hills where the artists live and work, the sounds and language quickly become the audience’s own and the themes universal.”
