Salopian Rainbows are going Back in Time… again! The launch party for a weekend marking the National Festival of LGBT History, Back in Time 2, takes place at University Centre Shrewsbury’s Guildhall site on Friday 17 February 2017, and the team are promising a night to remember.

Keynote speakers include Caroline Paige, the first serving officer to transition while working for the British military, and activists Peter Scott Presland and Andrew Lumsden. There will also be entertainment from Queer Playback Theatre – and drinks and nibbles will also be available.

The night starts at 6.15pm, kicking off a weekend of events that highlight the changing cultural attitudes to non-linear sexual orientation and gender identity, and the achievements of some of the trailblazing individuals who have been instrumental in bringing about change, both in popular opinion, and in the law.
