Throughout the half term week we will have our self-guided Halloween Trail. Visitors will be able to follow the trail around the park to find creepy clues and win a prize. The trail map (cost: £2) is available every day from the visitor centre between 11am – 3.30pm.

On Wednesday 26 October, our younger visitors will be able to learn all about the spooky creatures which live in the park. With our rangers they will discover the hidden secrets of Halloween wildlife; play some batty games on the park, try and find some spooky spiders in the woodland and make a smelly witches potion from plants around the park to cast a spell. The event will include a short walk suitable for pushchairs and indoor crafts. Child £3.50, Adults free. Booking essential. Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

At the beginning of the week, our rangers will be joined by Jo Weightman of the Herefordshire Fungus Survey Group for a Fungi Foray. It will be a good opportunity to get outdoors for an interesting guided walk amongst the beautiful autumn colours. The park has a wide variety of fungi to discover and Jo will help identify them and explain which are safe to eat and which are not.

There are still spaces on the morning session, 10am-12pm on Monday 24 October. Places are limited to 15 per session. Booking and payment in advance are required. Adults £4.50, children £3. Price includes a hot drink and biscuits.
