The Abbey Ward Local Neighbourhood Forum in Shrewsbury will be taking place on Monday 11 July 2016 at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber at Shirehall.

Tim Smith, Shropshire Council area director, will be attending the meeting to talk about the challenges being faced around Shropshire due to reductions in funding and budgets, and what impact this could have for Shrewsbury.

Other agenda items will include updates from Shrewsbury’s Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team and a brief update on the residential development proposed at Weir Hill.

Hannah Fraser, Forum Chair, and local Shropshire Councillor and Shrewsbury Town Councillor for Abbey, said:-

“The Abbey Ward Local Forum gives an opportunity for residents of Abbey to hear updates on key topical issues, and have their say on these and any matter which concerns them. This is a critical time for Shropshire, and very difficult decisions need to be made. I urge residents to come along and give their views and thoughts on possible local solutions.”

In addition there will be time reserved to raise any other issues of importance to the community. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting.

Shirehall is on Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Sy2 6ND.
