Clive Wright, Shropshire Council’s chief executive, will be the speaker at a joint meeting of StrettonDale Local Joint Committee (LJC) and Craven Arms and Rural LJC on Thursday 9 June 2016, at 7pm at Acton Scott Village Hall.

The meeting will give an overview of the challenges currently facing the council, and the potential impact on local services. There will also be the opportunity for the public to ask questions.

Members of the local police’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team will also be there.

Shropshire Councillor Tim Barker said:-

“All local councils are facing financial challenges over the years ahead. Clive Wright’s agreement to come and talk to us about his plans for tackling these challenges is a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand about how these plans will affect us all.”

Shropshire Councillor David Evans said:-

This is an opportunity for residents of the local area to come along and hear the up-to-date information and ask questions around areas of particular concern.”

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
