Shropshire Council is encouraging local people to come along to their next Bridgnorth Worfield, Claverley and Alveley, and Brown Clee Local Joint Committee (LJC) to talk about the issues that matter to them.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 13 April 2016 at 7pm at the The People’s Hall Evangelical Church, St John Street, Bridgnorth, WV15 6AG.

The LJC have organised a health-themed evening, with presentations from Professor Rod Thomson, Shropshire Council’s director of public health, and also director of public health for Herefordshire. This is followed by Dr Julian Povey from Shropshire Clinical Commission Group (CCG) who will be providing a update on Future Fit; and a presentation by Jane Randall-Smith, Chief Officer at Health Watch, which was established in 2013 as independent consumer champion.

Councillor Christian Lea, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“I would encourage residents to come along to the meeting to find out more about the NHS Future Fit proposals for south Shropshire’s community hospitals. With health professionals attending, this is the ideal opportunity for people to put their views forward, as well as raising any concerns that you may have.”

The local policing team will be present to provide an update on local policing and community safety issues. Also there will be an update on the Big Conversation by Tom Dodds, Shropshire Council’s commissioning data analysis and intelligence manager.

This is an open public meeting so everyone is more than welcome to attend.
