The next meeting of the Shifnal & Sheriffhales Local Joint Committee (LJC) will be held on Tuesday 22 March 2016 at St Andrew’s Youth Club Building, Bridgnorth Road, Shifnal, from 7pm to 9pm.

Members of the public are invited to come and meet with local councillors and raise issues of concern relating to the local area.

On the agenda this time is a presentation from Jane Randall-Smith from Healthwatch to explain how the organisation works locally to help communities get the best out of their local health and social care services.

There will be an updates from Shifnal Neighbourhood Plan group, Shifnal Swimming Pool Committee and Shifnal Forward on progress with projects – plus an update from Shropshire Council’s area commissioner, Chris Edwards on the progress made on the future of the library service in Shifnal.

Representatives from the local policing team and fire service will also be present to provide updates on their respective services.

Councillor Stuart West, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“This is a really important community meeting and everyone’s invited to come along and raise issues directly with their councillors. We will try to answer as many questions as we can on the night but can also seek out answers from officers at a later date, if appropriate. This is your opportunity to speak to your local councillors direct about the issues that concern you. Why not come along and take part if you have issues that you want to raise and have your say!”.
