Everybody Active Every Day to be discussed at Craven Arms LJC meeting on 9 March

Related topics: Community / Democracy

The Craven Arms and Rural Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting agenda planned for Wednesday 9 March 2016 at Aston on Clun Village Hall at 7pm.

The main item for discussion will be Everybody Active Every Day, a new public health initiative which could see up to £30,000 being made available to increase participation in physical activity in Craven Arms.  Also discussed will be the options available for those residents and businesses that are not likely to receive high speed broadband.

Councillor David Evans, chairman of the committee, said:

“We all know that we need to become more active, but it is difficult to fit it into our busy lives. We hope that this initiative will help people from all parts of our community to raise awareness and make changes, so physical activity becomes part of our regular routines.”

The meeting will also have updates from the local police and the local flooding team, and hear about youth commissioning funding.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions. Light refreshments will be available.
