The main agenda item at the next Wem and Shawbury Local Joint Committee (LJC) meeting, on Monday 12 October 2015, is an update on planning.

Mal Price, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for regulatory services, will give a presentation on planning, which will include an update on the Site Allocations and Management Plan (SamDev) and Shropshire Council’s Five-Year Land Supply.

The LJC meeting is at 7pm at Edinburgh House, Wem.

There will also be a presentation on the benefits of Parish Path Partnerships, and an update from the NHS Future Fit team on the programme’s progress.

The local policing team will also be present to provide an update on local policing and community safety issues.

Councillor Simon Jones, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“This is an opportunity for residents to come along and hear about planning. There will also be an opportunity for residents to raise any local issues and suggest agenda items for future meetings.”

This is a public meeting, so everyone is more than welcome to attend.
