People are invited to find out more about University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) from the leadership team at a drop-in event next week.

Anyone can stop by at Rowley’s House in Shrewsbury town centre on Wednesday 16 September 2015, any time between 6pm and 8pm, to speak to senior members of the team.

Residents, people interested in studying at UCS, members of community groups, business representatives and others are urged to come along to meet the team, share ideas and ask any questions.

Paul Kirkbright, Deputy Provost; Sir David Lees, Chair of the University for Shropshire Advisory Board; and Councillor Claire Wild, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for University Centre Shrewsbury, will be among those on hand to talk to visitors.

Paul Kirkbright said:

“Ahead of our first undergraduates arriving at the end of September, we wanted to provide an opportunity for people to chat to us, outside of formal meetings and 9-to-5 hours, either one-on-one or with several members of the leadership team.

“Whether you have some thoughts on a particular aspect of the University Centre’s development you’d like to share with us, or would just like to say ‘hello’, please drop in during the evening.”

Rowley’s House (SY1 1QH) is the administrative base for University Centre Shrewsbury. The Barker Street building also provides an information point and seminar rooms.
