Decisions made by South planning committee on 8 September 2015

The following decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s South planning committee at its meeting at Shirehall, Shrewsbury on Tuesday 8 September 2015.

  • Barn, Roughton, Bridgnorth, WV15 5HE (14/02958/VAR) Removal of Conditions 10 (restricted use) and 11 (restricted occupancy) attached to 10/03590/COU to allow use of building as permanent residential dwelling.  Decision:

    That planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation, subject to:

    • A Section 106 Legal Agreement to secure a financial contribution towards affordable housing; and

    The Conditions as set out in Appendix 1 to the report.

  • Walcot Farm, Lydbury North, SY7 8AA (14/05323/FUL) Erection of agricultural buildings for barn egg production, together with attenuation pond and access visibility splay improvement.  Decision:

    That planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation, subject to:

    • A Unilateral Undertaking covering ecological mitigation;
    • The Conditions as set out in Appendix 1 to the report;
    • To ensure the materials are appropriate in the landscape, Condition No. 10 be amended to ensure that the external surfaces of the new buildings shall be BS18B29; and

    The proposed planting be extended along the field margin in a north westerly direction towards Walcot pool and the Water Meadow plantation.

  • Land south of Cargan, All Stretton (14/05689/FUL) Erection of one dwelling and car port; alteration to existing access.  Decision:

    That, as per the officer’s recommendation to refuse, planning permission be refused for the following reasons:

    The proposed dwelling, by virtue of its scale, design and location would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty including the green space between All Stretton and Church Stretton. The proposed dwelling is therefore contrary to Core Strategy policies CS1, CS5, CS6, CS11 and CS17, Policy S1 of the South Shropshire District Local Plan and sections 115 and 116 of the NPPF.

  • Wheatlands site, Woodhouse Fields, Bourton, Much Wenlock, TF13 6QN (15/01808/EIA) Erection of 2 no. agricultural buildings for rearing livestock (table fowl); biomass boiler building; 5 no. feed bins and associated hardstanding and landscaping.  Decision:

    That planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation, subject to:

    • The conditions set out in Appendix 1 to the report;
    • To ensure the materials are appropriate in the landscape, Condition No. 6 be amended to ensure that the external surfaces of the roofs of the new buildings shall be BS18B29; and

    Removal of Condition No. 11 as set out in the Schedule of Additional Letters.

  • Proposed dwelling rear of 4 Church Street, Cleobury Mortimer (15/01976/FUL) Listed Building Consent for works to facilitate the conversion of redundant Pharmacy Store once associated with a former Pharmacy from Use Class A1 to Use Class C3 Dwellinghouse.  Decision:

    That, subject to the conditions set out in Appendix 1 to the report, planning permission be granted as per the officer’s recommendation.

  • Proposed dwelling rear of 4 Church Street, Cleobury Mortimer (15/01977/LBC) Conversion of redundant Pharmacy Store once associated with a former Pharmacy from Use Class A1 to Use Class C3 Dwellinghouse.  Decision:

    That, subject to the conditions set out in Appendix 1 to the report, Listed Building Consent be granted as per the officer’s recommendation.
