The StrettonDale Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Thursday 4 June 2015 at Pitchford Village Hall at 7pm.

Hedgerow removal and maintenance, and home security, are the main items on the agenda, alongside a talk from West Midlands Ambulance Service on locally-based defibrillators.

Representatives from Shropshire Council will be present to give an overview of the regulations regarding hedgerow removal and maintenance.

West Mercia Police will give a talk about protecting homes, which includes a demonstration of some low cost equipment.

Tim Barker, Chairman of the LJC, said:

“Rural hedgerow removal and lack of appropriate management is a common issue in our area; please come along to hear what the council is able to do, and how you can assist us.”

The meeting will also include an update on youth commissioning in the area, local information from the flood team, and news and events from the parishes that form the LJC.

Representatives from the local policing team will be available from 6.30pm if you wish to discuss any matters on a one-to-one basis.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
