News from our partners Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing

Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing are excited to be joining forces with partners to hold the Tasley and West Bridgnorth Partnership Community Day. Residents are warmly invited to come along and have their say on what matters about where they live, what they like and what could be improved.

The event is being held on Saturday 18 April 2015 from 10am–2pm at St Leonard’s Hall, Racecourse Drive, Bridgnorth.

Fun and games along with free refreshments are sure to add to the entertainment, and make it an enjoyable day for all who attend.

The day offers an opportunity to learn more about Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing’s Community Chest fund, whereby individuals and groups can apply for funding of up to £500 to support a wide range of community projects.

Also present at the event will be Shropshire Council representatives, Bridgnorth Town Council, Tasley Parish Council, the Local Policing Team and Veolia, along with other local Housing Associations.

Emma Feely, Involvement and Empowerment Officer for Shropshire Towns and Rural Housing, said:

“A lot has gone into working with, and for, residents to improve this area, but there is still a lot left to do. We’re all really excited to be holding this event and look forward to speaking with local residents to help prioritise efforts.

It’s great that so many partner organisations will be attending. Hopefully the residents will get some real benefits from the day and enjoy themselves. I’d like to thank everybody who has helped to organise what I’m confident will be a fantastic day.”

Anne Wilson, Clerk for Bridgnorth Town Council, said:

“Events like the Tasley Action Group Community Day bring communities together and go a long way to helping us understand local needs.

Being able to engage with local residents is always important and we’re all looking forward to an enjoyable day.”
