Shropshire Council rangers at Severn Valley Country Park are excited to welcome Medieval and Tudor re-enactor Kevin Goodman to the visitor centre on Thursday 9 April 2015 at 7.30pm-9pm.

Kevin will be providing a fascinating look at the weapons and techniques the Medieval bowman would use when in battle. Kevin will have up to 60 medieval arrow heads to help illustrate his talk along with crossbows and crossbow quarrels, a long bow, an early ‘hand gonne’, as well as many other items an archer would use.

As an experienced re-enactor and historical interpreter, Kevin brings the past to life for young and old while providing entertainment and education for the whole audience.

Susie Comaish, Visitor Centre manager, said:

“Kevin visited the park in 2014 and provided an entertaining look at surgical techniques from pre-history to the renaissance. We are happy to welcome him back to the park for a detailed look at the life and times of the Medieval bowman. Visitors will be able to get a close look at the different artifacts Kevin will bring with him, and well as enjoying hearing Kevin bring that time period to life.”
