Shropshire’s Alzheimer’s Society will be running a series of Dementia Community Roadshows across the county next week from Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 February.

The roadshows aim to raise awareness of dementia to local communities, to support people to get a diagnosis and to help them gain access to help and support, including health and financial benefits.

The Dementia Community Roadshows will be held at:

Bishops Castle:

Auction Yard Car Park, Station Street – Tuesday 17 February, 10am – 4pm

Market Drayton:

Morrisons, Maer Lane – Wednesday 18 February, 10am – 4pm

Ellesmere:

Tesco, Canal Way – Thursday 19 February, 10am – 4pm

Shifnal:

Aston Street Car Park – Friday 20 February, 10am – 4pm

The events will be hosted by local support workers and volunteers who will be on hand to signpost people with dementia and their carers to essential local services, and bring people concerned about their memory, or that of a loved one, a step closer to achieving a diagnosis. For more information about the event, contact the Alzheimer’s Society in Shropshire on 01743 341800.
