Planning to be discussed at Craven Arms and rural LJC meeting

Related topics: Community / Democracy

The Craven Arms and rural Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting coming up on Wednesday 19 November 2014 at Onibury Village Hall at 7pm.

The main topic for discussion will be planning.  Shropshire Council’s planning services manager will give an overview of the current situation with planning, and answer any questions.  Place Plans and the Community Infrastructure Levy will also be discussed.

In addition, there will be an explanation of the plans to commission youth activities by Shropshire Council, working alongside the LJC and key local groups.

Councillor David Evans, chairman of the LJC, said:

Planning is a cause of concern and confusion for some local residents and organisations.  We will have experts in attendance to explain the council’s policy and answer any questions.  Please do come along and join in the discussion.”

The meeting will also include an update from the Craven Arms local Safer Neighbourhood Team regarding local crime and safety, and news and events from the parishes that form the LJC.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
