Residents are encouraged to attend an important meeting of the Wem and Shawbury area Local Joint Committee (LJC) on Thursday 20 November 2014 at Edinburgh House, Wem at 7pm.

There will be a presentation on NHS Future Fit, the programme looking at hospital services in Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin, and shaping our future health care services.

Also on the agenda is an update on the Place Plan, which provides an opportunity for residents to identify local priorities for the next 12 months.  There will also be the latest on the rollout of broadband in rural Shropshire.

Councillor Simon Jones, chair of the LJC, said:

“The future of the healthcare service is really important, we want as many local people who use the service to attend and help shape it for the next 20 years.  I would also encourage residents to come along and get involved in identifying local priorities and talk to their local councillors.”

For more information regarding the meeting contact Sue Thomas, community enablement officer, on 01939 237453, email sue.j.thomas@shropshire.gov.uk.

The meeting covers issues relating to the parishes of Clive, Grinshill, Hadnall, Loppington, Moreton Cobett & Lee Brockhurst, Myddle and Broughton, Shawbury, Stanton upon Hine Heath, Wem Rural, Weston under Redcastle and Whixall and Wem Town.
